MSD 6AL gets hot and dies

My car keeps dieing it I think I have it down to the msd causing it. It runs fine for about 15-20 min and then just shuts off, after a few min it will start again and run for 5-10 min and die again. I noticed while looking at it the MSD was very hot so I took a surface temp reading and it was 121 degrees.
after it dropped to 115 the car started and when the temp went up to 126 it died.

What could cause my MSD to get hot like this? bad coil maybe, its an accel supercoil. I did just change the fuse holder at the battery during a cleanup same size wire though with a 20amp fuse though msd claims it doesnt need one I always believe in a fuse at the source.

My MSD is about 6 years old now but not much run time weekend car.
