what the **** is this?

i have a 1984 camaro sport coupe. 2bbl/ 173cu in v6. 5spd.

the first pic here shows the inside the center consle. the car has power windows and is a 5spd factory. now where my fingers are, what are thos for??? i cant find anything on em and if the center consle is the correct one then its not gona be a hatch release... its got me stumped.

the second pic shows that umm thing splicied into the ac compresser wiriing there. ive traced the "new" wire and switch to the same wire going to the compresser, its just that thing has been put in there. theres no where it connects to in its range allowed by the wires. and i noticed how it looks like the thing that connects the the ac umm silver canastir by the firewall/heater box thingy. sorry im not up on my terms, but the point of that is its on the other side of where this is at... deffently confused on that, is it a quick fix for something?

any and all helpfull help is much appreciated. and thank you. any questions or pic request let me now.

Re: what the **** is this?

The flat plug in the first pic is for the optional clock. The larger square plug, i dont know my 84 has it too, but there is nothing connected to it.Its just another option the car doesnt have.

The round connector in the second pic.Goes to the back AC compressor.Doesnt look like your compressor has the prong though.I think its for a pressure sensor.

Yes, RPO U35 (supposedly only those cars with an AM radio received it because unlike the FM radios, the AM didn't have a clock). A pic, though fuzzy, can be seen in my Car Details below.
