dome light

I searched around a little in the forum but didn't find my answer. Here is my problem, I have a dome light that stays on all the time. At first i thought it was one of the door triggers had gone bad but alas it wasn't. Like I said the light is on all the time but when i press the door trigger in I get a small flicker in the light like the circuit is being interrupted or trying to work. I don't think it is the dimmer switch either because it seems to operate fine as I dim the lights.

DOMICILE

The “dimmer switch” (rheostat) is not in that circuit.

However on the same assembly there is a SPST contact that might not be opening.

You can disconnect it to verify.

You might have one of the dome light ground leads with rubbed-thru insulation allowing it to contact ground.

Happy Racing!

Fog lights are not driving lights. They look dorky. Turn em off slow pokes.

How bout those dorks too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime!
