Keep blowing gauge fuse...need ideas...

Here is the deal. I have an '88 IROC with a 350TPI. When I purchased this car, the wiring was a mess. The previous owner hacked a ton of wires and most were not fused. I redid most of the wiring in the dash/console area and deleted all of his crap that I could. The only issue left was that his old alarm screwed up the power door locks and they didn't work.

Now...about a year and a half later...My gauge fuse blew. I replaced it thinking it may have been a bad fuse and everything worked great for a few days. Then it blew again. I read through all of the other posts about it on here and traced everything I could think of. There are no wires shorting that I can find, and the fuse is fine as long as I am idling or driving normally. If I put my foot down the fuse blows. I have tried to figure out exactly when it is blowing and I believe it is somewhere around when the tranny shifts from first to second.

I am lost on what to trace next. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

FUSE RUSE

Because your wiring was hacked by the locate the wire going to the GAGE FUSE and branch out with more fuses to point you to the faulty line.

Happy Racing!

Fog lights are not driving lights. They look dorky. Turn em off slow pokes.

How bout those dorks too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime!
