Wiring Problems / Questions

Okay so here's the issue: I bought a '89 Camaro RS, 305ci engine, TH-350 Automatic Transmission, and after getting it home, realized that it had some massive wiring problems... so I need help -

I think the guy who had this car before me hacked out a lot of things from the car, A/C, bunch of wiring stuff, because when I first got it the headlights didn't work, so my dad and I replaced the switch.. that didn't work, so we ended up having to hotwire the headlights.

The problem is basically that there isn't a whole lot of charge or something, because the alternator guage or whatever is always very low, bouncing from about 50% to under 25%. The radio will skip, and this is not a CD problem or a reception problem, it will skip, sometimes shut off and turn itself back on, usually when I turn on my blinkers, and it's not just the radio, the headlights will dim down, not turn off, but become noticeably more dimmed than they just were, and the dash lights will turn off. The dome light and map light only turn on when my headlights are on. I'm thinking a short in the wires somewhere.. but I kind of want to replace the harness(es) that control these things, because the wiring down by the fusebox in this car is a nightmare, and these problems need to be fixed, so I figure new wiring would be the best way to achieve this. What wiring harness(es) would I need to buy for my car? And where could I get them at a decent price?
