Turned AC on, now my dash is dead. WTF

Alright,

My car just got back from the shop, I had my driveshaft taken out, had it balanced, put new u-joints on it, even replaced a bad yoke on it, so it got the royal treatment lol

Anyways,

I had my mom drive it home yesterday and she decided she wanted to use the AC, It's a GTA with a digital dash, so all my HVAC buttons are push button (electronic)

She pushed the AC max button and she said the air came on for maybe 3 seconds, then all at once the air stops blowing, and my WHOLE dash is now dead. No gauges, no back-lighting on my gauges, no Driver Info center, no lights on my HVAC controls, nothing.

The car doesn't drive or act any different, it's just the dash that's not working. I walked her through on how to check fuses and she said there wasn't any bad ones, I'm currently 2 hours away from the car being I'm at college, so i cant look at it myself...

I had mom immediately drive it back to the shop, so that's where it sits right now. Weird how something else messes up just as soon as ya get it back from the mechanic eh?

Any ideas? What would make the dash completely shut off from the press of my AC button?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Turned AC on, now my dash is dead. WTF

its a blown fuse. No offense to your mom, but I'm pretty sure she probably missed one or couldn't tell. The only reason I say this is because I've missed a few blown fuses myself (if the break is near the top of the blade, it can be easily missed). Specially the INST LP fuse...

Yeah, it turns out that it was simply just a fuse...

Now here's a new problem for ya....

My AC doesn't turn on anymore after this incident...

I've no idea why either...
