Can anyone tell me where I can buy the replacement wires that run fom the rear hatch struts to my defrost grid? My rear defrost doesnt work due to the
wires that come from the struts up to the grid are totally missing.

Re: Rear Defroster Wiring

i have the same problem on my Bird. the wires corroded away over the years. i think i'm just going to use 10 ga. wires with a quick connect to hook it up like stock. i don't think you need any special wiring, but don't quote me on that.

Re: Rear Defroster Wiring

I just replaced them with I think 10 ga wire the one side is only a ground so you need like a 6 inch piece and the other you can just go down the wire till it's good and splice it in there and use angled connectors on the ends to limit stress on the wire. Good luck it's an easy fix.
