? on exposed strands on power wire for ignition coil

hey guys i just noticed, that there is a area on one of the plugs for the ignition coil, its the thicker pink wire, which i believe is the power wire for the ign. coil, there is a area on the wire where theres exposed strands of the wire

would these exposed strands cause there to be no power coming to the coil?

the car cranks all day but wont fire, is this the cause?

STRANDED

Exposed strands are not a problem per se but might be an indication of wire pullback from the connector.

Use a voltmeter to determine if the primary is receiving voltage.

Happy Racing!

I agree, or the wires are broke there within the sheething. definently would wrap some tape around there, and eventually replace that wire. you can get a new one from summit or other places with the plug for the distributer on the end. then solder in on to the old wire before the bad spot.
