All of the relays in the pics are plugged as they should be. That single red wire with connector on it would no go to a relay. Is the wire really red? Grab the connector, and see how far it stretches - whatever it goes to is within that reach - GM NEVER installed more wire than the bare minimum length!

Maybe it connects to the wire from the underhood light?

i dont have a underhood light? or have never seen it on? This car is far beyond GM whoever had it before me lol. It is red and i tried pulling it and no slack and i looked for things that it could of plugged into and nothing. The Car once had a fog horn could this possible be something for it?...

Thats the fuel pump prime connector. Its supposed to be loose like that

Add 12v and the fuel pump will engage no matter the circumstances

Not that I doubt you Pocket - but I just never seen or heard of it before. My 1990 and 1992 Camaro did not have (and I was into EVERY wire under both hoods - the 1992 I just gutted the wiring on last week), both were LO3 TBI's though - maybe it's engine specific.

Very interesting - it would have helped me alot when my OPSU went bad 400 miles away from home, and I had to rig a paperclip into the connector with electrical tape to get home - which wouldn't hold from the oil on the connector and my car shut down about 8 times on the road!

You 90 and 92 should both have it near the booster/relay center area

All Ive seen are within 6" of the relay or on a rare few cases (middle year V6's) stretched over to the HVAC box

Unravel the oil pressure sender connector and see just how long that is. Its located near your oil filter but can stretch to the passenger strut tower

Also a common header mod is to move the knock sensor from the pass side to the drivers side. This too has ample wire length for no apparent reason

TPI MAP is in the rear of the plenum. When converting to a LT1 intake the MAP moves to the front of the plenum. Again there is ample length

Etc...

My point is just because you have 6" of lead, it doesnt mean the plug is 6" away

Just my luck - they ran out of wire on my car! Again, not saying you're wrong - but on MY car there's no way my OPSU wires would stretch to the pass strut tower - would have been nice when I ran those OPSU fuel pump wires to the driver firewall to reconnect the fuel pump relay into my carbed conversion.

I guess again - my luck - cause every wire I'd like to get another 2 inches out of it won't happen on my car.

My car wiring is like every man - always coming up an inch short!
