Where and how to hook up elec. speedo?

I have a cobalt autometer speedometer. I'm hooking it up on a 91 z28. I was going to hook it up to the brown speed input connector on the pinout behind the gauge cluster. But after reading the instructions for the speedo, I think i'm supposed to attach a wire from the sig behind the speedo to the purple wire from the transmission itself. I'm really confused, what about the out terminal behind the speedo? I need a dummies description of how to hook this up. I finished building my custom gauge cluster and this is the only part thats confusing me. Any pics? Where do i get the vss signal?

Re: Where and how to hook up elec. speedo?

Can someone who has installed an electronic speedo on a 91 camaro please show a simple drawing of how to hook it up? I don't want to mess up an expensive speedometer. I'm not sure about the sig and out connectors on the speedo and where exactly they go. The directions only confuse me more.
