Re: MANUAL COLLING FAN =c

Could be wrong gauge of wire, could be unfused wires, cheap On/Off switch, or crappy work!(bubble gum and shoelaces wrapped in duct tape).

Re: MANUAL COLLING FAN =c

probably because they connected those wires straight
to the fan motor instead of using a relay like the
original fan circuit,probably too-thin wiring too,18 GA
or so,if it's the original fan that will draw around 12amp
at full speed, over 30a for a couple seconds after it is
first switched on until it's up to speed. fan should be
reconnected using a good quality relay and proper
wiring, pretty easy to hook up an add-on thermostat
control if you do not want to repair and reconnect the
original fan circuit.

Re: MANUAL COLLING FAN =c

Might want to get that fixed because a hot wire will melt and whatever else is around it. Becareful inspect your other wires to make sure they are not burned.

Re: MANUAL COLLING FAN =c

Its amazing how many car out there have manual switches because the PO didn't how to fix it, or they didn't want to spend time or money and fix it right!
