Tach Shows No RPM, Does Come off peg

0Have spent multiple attempts at this, using information from many threads on this and other forums to no avail.

'92 1LE B4C , 305 5spd

Inititially the tach would peg on startup, did the resitor swap/bypass (4,10) Then would come off peg with ignitiion on, but stays at zero when running. Checked continuity of white wire from cluster connector to coil (B+), good. Checked diodes, and large resistors on board, good; Cleaned and ensured good connection of flexible PCB to connectors, good. Looking for the LM1819 driver chip as a possible cause, non to be found in lots less than 100 units. Everything else works fine, is a very clean TX DPS car and don't want to put in aftermarket tach. Am guessing I need to begin the hunt for replacement clusters to cobble out the Tach Assy's and boards until find good one?

If I've missed something else in the diags, PLEASE offer another avenue to follow.
Thanks in advance for your time.
