Hello Guys I have a dumb question...my high beams work fine but my lows (regular lights) do not. Its not a fuse checked that so I am not sure..the side lights work but not the front headlights... I have an 89 Camaro Convertable with TBI no mods yet until I can get these little electrical problems fixed.
Re: no low beam lights on 89 Camaro only highs work
try tilting the wheel all the way up or down - if you have tilt it makes adjusting the switch a pain in the keister. if no tilt, then your switch needs adjusted - it's under the column above the brake pedal - it's a bear to get to - you'll see the actuating rod to the switch if you move the lever while looking - that switch assembly imoveable - just loosen bolts and move slightly up towards the steering wheel.
Re: no low beam lights on 89 Camaro only highs work
Ok i looked by the brake peddle and I seen a rod attached to the brake pedal that goes through the firewall into the engine compartment is this the rod that needs to be disconnected? and reconnected? Oh yeah I do not have a tilt column...Thanks.

No, the rod in questions goes down the steering column into the switch, which is also located on the column.

ok i found the rod on the column so do I just loosen the bracket that the switch is mounted to? How do I adjust the rod?Do I disconnect it and reconnect? I am not sure how to adjust now that I have found it...Thanks for your help.

The switch slides a tad - just loosen the 7mm bolthead and move it up towards the steering wheel a wee bit, retighten and test - until you get it right.
