We replaced everything from the plugs, to the wires, to the distributor cap, rotor, distributor unit, and even the ignition control module.

I have checked for spark coming directly from the ICM and it, also, only sparks intermittently (one hour it might not spark, and an hour later it might).

When it is not sparking, the engine will try to turn over all day long but not catch. And sound strong and charged. Oddly enough, it *sometimes* will initiate a spark from being jump started by another car.

Should be 3 major grounds

1) batt neg wire to block
2) groundstrap from rear of pass head to firewall
3) batt neg (small extra wire) to fender

Ignition switch is located on top of the steering column, under the guages. To get to it, you remove the underdash panel, remove the brace that holds underdash panel up, then remove 2 nuts holding steering column up, and let it come down into the floorboard - the wires under it will kinda hold it up. Then you can see the ignition switch.

But the ignition switch won't have anything to do with the ICM not making spark in the distributor - all it does is send 12v+ to the starter solenoid.
