no power to the ignition
hey guys im new to the forum but not to 3rd gen camaros iv owned my 84 z28 for 16 years and im finally getting a chance to work on it since 2003. so my issue is i just converted it to 5speed from automatic and transferred all the wiring harness from an 85 firebird but now im not getting anything when i turn the key but i have power to everything else am i missing something or did i forget a wire somewhere.

was there a switch on the clutch pedal to keep the car from starting in gear?

there is a hole for one but there wasn't anything on the firebird that i took it off of. would it take one? would i need to change out the steering colum to

On the automatic, the Neutral Switch was mounted to the shifter.
That’s where the wires of interest were.
You need to connect, thru a Neutral Switch, the purple wire
from the starter solenoid, to the yellow wire from the ignition switch
