Factory rear discs (J65), includes everything, barely used

This is an entire rear disc setup from my '86 Camaro IROC-Z. It includes the following:

- J65 calipers
- Axle backing plates
- Steel brake lines
- Parking brake cables
- Hardware
- Rotors
- Pads

The calipers have been rebuilt to '89+ specifications and the entire setup has about 700 miles on it. The pads and rotors were changed at the same time and both have quite a bit of material left. The parking brake cables are also like new. Everything worked just fine when it was on the vehicle.

I'm asking $50 for the whole setup, plus shipping. Even if you only need new rotors and pads, this is still quite a bargain. Please PM me if you're interested.

Thanks for looking!

It's off a 10-bolt rear.

You'll need to trim down the axle flange and drill four holes (per side) to locate the new backing plate. Once the backing plate is installed, I'd suggest running new hard lines. The primary reason I'm including the original steel lines is so you have an idea of what size fittings are needed... I wouldn't recommend reusing them, even though they're in decent shape. I forgot to mention that a passenger-side brake hose is required to connect to the caliper; the driver-side caliper is connected directly to the steel line.

You'll need a disc/disc combination valve, but it's up to you if you want to swap out the master cylinder. I've used a drum MC with these rear brakes without a problem (the auto parts store gave me the wrong one and I figured it out after everything was already connected up).

Those are the big things. Other stuff, like the parking brake cables, should be fairly self-explanatory.

Don't mean to divert your post, it sounds like a terrific deal. My question, while doing the brakes on my '88 Trans Am is, why do mine look totally different. My backing plates and calipers don't look anything like your's.
Has my rear been changed?
Thanks...and good luck with the sale.

Thanks for all of the enthusiasm, but I'm already in the process of receiving payment for the brakes. They've been sold.
