700-r4/w converter for sale

700-R4 for an 87 rwd car. Non electric. Bought in 2002 never used. I bought it from these guys Moberly Transmission Repair

Its the high performance 700-R4 that reads like this:Comes with a high performance servo (not a Corvette servo), 30 spline input shaft, extra clutches in the 3-4 clutch drum (9 not 6 or 7), large pressure valve, special separator plate, special governor springs, and a ten vane pump (not 7), heavy-duty sprag, heavy-duty roller clutch and a 2300 rpm stall converter. AlsoI have the receipt----------First 750.00 takes it (never used!!!)

My total cost was 1600.00 (loaned). The trans was 1278.15. I will even drop it off if with in a close distance. Other wise shipping is extra. I have a picture of receipt if you want to see it. You can come over and look at it before you buy it. I never used it. It has been sitting since 02! I know this trans is rock solid! It has a full manule shift kit. I was told you will blow the motor before you blow the trans with this valve body. I was also told that you can leave it in "D" for full auto driving. Also I was told that it had the full throttle 3-4 upshift valve. This means that it will upshift from 3 to 4 at full throttle.

So I hope someone will see this ad and jump on this great deal. You get a twelve hundred dollar trans for two thirds the price. Plus comes with a new never used 2300 rpm stall!!! Call me James Augustine for any questions and picture requests via email. 1-586-615-6917

I live in the Detroit area and might be interested in your trans. What does non-electric exactly mean? Also, in your description you say H.D. servo non-corvette, I assume it has a billet servo? I have a 1989 Formula, would this trans bolt in with no modification/computer work? Also, my car is modified and makes about around 400hp/450tq, what is this trans rated for? My current trans was rebuilt and slightly beefed up about 8,000 miles ago, but is already slipping. I want to make sure when I replace it, it's done right this time. Thanks for your time.

Do you know what speedo gears are in it (Calibrated for rear end gear ratio & tire size for accurate speedo read out). Thanks, Ed.

I ordered it for an 1987 GTA with a 3.27 borg warner nine bolt. The tires were 245/50R16. I can't tell you for sure that is what they sent me. I can do 800.00 shipped to your local shipping yard. Shipping runs about 150-200$ So I will lose 50-100 more dollars. I am willing to haggle over the whole thing.

Hello James,

I have found a way to pull all of the money together for the 700R4 & Convertor. If it is still for sale I will take it. Shipping will be to 97504, Medford, Oregon at their local terminal where I can pick it up. Also, does the original paperwork come with it?

Thanks, Ed
