Even has a clean air filter in it. I also have the interior emblem, if anyone is interested. that reads "Z28 5.0 H.O." the emblem is in perfect condition and looks great. 85_SS , as of right now, its yours to lose. I sent you a PM with the address to send payment. The first guy I was talking to earlier just stopped replying. So right now youve got it 85_SS.
85_SS PM'd me before you. It is sold, he sent payment this morning. Sorry guys. I do have another one somewhere around here. Its not as complete, it has the air cleaner lid and the bottom piece, no vents, but its in great shape.
I also still have the "Z28 5.0 H.0." dash emblem if anyone is interested.
I also could get the wheels from this car, the speedo, which is different due to the H.O. motor. Actually in fact let me know what you want from this car Iam parting it out. Its a 1984 H.O. Z28, auto. Let me know what you guys want. For some parts it will prob have to be pickup only.
hey if you could get me a pic of the trunk area that would be great. what color is the interior too. i need to get some seat covers for the front and back.
"too good to be true" as they say. The setup wasn't "complete" - only came with one flex duct, and not even the correct one at that (LG4) so it is useless for this setup. Those are the hardest pieces to find, and the main reason I bought this. Also overcharged 50% on shipping. I usually insist on pictures, but jumped the gun here and got burned a bit...
I may sell off the snorkels since I already have a set...
Sorry that it didnt include the "flex ducts" but I never said it had those. Those flex ducsts can be had on many carbed trucks and full size vehicles if you have two of them you just flip it around for the opposite side, and Iam not talking about the LG4 flex duct. The hardest part to find is the air cleaner and the passenger side vent, because everybody's got the driver side vent. Yes I said complete but it has everything thats essentially needed. If you had specified that you were "only" buying for the flex ducts, I would have said that I didnt have them anymore. I didnt deny you pictures, the situation was such that I had somewhat of a waiting list for this part, as you can see on the thread above, and that if you didnt take it I would move on. You should know this because the first person to take interest didnt buy it right away so I gave you the opportunity to buy it. I was not in a rush, but alot of people were willing to buy it on the spot. If you had told me that you were only concerned with the "flex ducts" and wanted to see a pic I would have glady sent them to you, but by that time maybe they would've been sold. So for this "misunderstanding" I give you my appologies but, if you were willing to spend $80 on just two parts ("flex ducts") that I didnt even list maybe you should've asked first.
Sorry that it didnt include the "flex ducts" but I never said it had those…. maybe you should've asked first

….I thought I was pretty specific in the above PM.
You also stated the following in PM:

Shipping was $30, yet no refund, and no response to PM or email regarding this or the missing parts. When it’s posted here, you respond within minutes though… not cool.
I apologize to the mods if I am out of line here...
To address the point of me not responding, I got your PM today. You only sent one PM and then the post on here. I was away from my computer the last day or two. But I got on today and this post was the first thing I saw because I have auto alerts to my email when someone posts or PM's me.
To address the second part, when we were talking about the ducts the immediate thing I thought of were the "vents" I guess you could call them, Im not really sure of all the exact terminology for all of the parts. If I was wrong anywhere was saying complete. But to be completely honest, its the dual snorkel cleaner and passsenger side intake vent that are rare. And the air cleaner assy. Was in very good condition, and sticker/labels in awesome condition not worn or faded.
When it comes to shipping & handling you are not only paying for the shipping cost but what it cost to package it and bring it to the post office. For small things most of the time I already have a box lying around. For this I went and bought a box from walmart albeit was only about $3, I dont remember if I used peanuts or bubblewrap but in either case I had to buy it, maybe $2 - $3. Finally I have to drive to the post office which for me is believe it or not 10 miles away and gas isnt cheap anymore especially the way our cars go through it. I didnt sell this air cleaner at such a low price and to do all the work involved in shipping just to lose money.
So in my eyes, the only thing I screwed up on was the fact that I left out the "flex ducts" at the time I was pretty sure you mean the air vents. But anyway If you want I can partially refund the shipping, to be cool about it. Even though part of that was for packaging and shipping. If I can locate a flex duct and I will send it no charge, for my lack of "specification" as to the flex ducts you mentioned. But in all honesty $75 for something that rare is a good deal. People sell rusted out ones that are just the metal air cleaner all the time for the same price.
And I'll say it again, if you said that you were only buying this for the flex ducts because you already had everything else I would have said something because that would seem strange to me pay $75 for a whole assy. when you're only interested in two parts. And I would have made sure that I was including the parts you were mainly interested in. Because to me if you already have everything else why wouldnt you just tell me that and try to buy them separately. Then none of this would have happened.
But anyway I already offered to partially refund for shipping costs and I will offer to send you the flex ducts no charge, whenever I find a good pair. Iam an honest person, this was just a misunderstanding.

I mentioned all shipping costs, costs as in plural, more than just the shipping. Ie. packaging, materials, and travel cost. I could've sold it for more. $75 is a good deal.

Reason: Automerged Doublepost
I also sent an email, but that is neither here nor there. IMHO, it is the flex part of flex ducts should be self explanitory, but regardless of what you call it, the setup still wasn't complete. The flex ducts on the L69 setup are very specific in that they have different sized openings at each end, and are fairly long. I can (continue to) use my MCSS ones if I have to, but I was looking for the right part.
Yes, the cleaner itself is in pretty good shape with the exception of some dents here and there - to be expected for a part this age. No complaints on the snorkels either. I don't disagree that the price was still fair, but it wasn't what was advertised either - honest mistake or not.
As for the shipping - you shouldn't have stated you would refund any difference then. You offered that, I didn't ask. I understand the time that goes into selling parts though - I usually avoid selling for this very reason - I personally feel that for the most part it's not worth it by the time you package everything up and ship it (unless it's a high dollar item).
I do believe this was mostly just a misunderstanding - we did go through PM's quick trying to seal the deal, but like I say I was just disappointed to open the box and not see the flex ducts there. I'll take whatever you feel is fair for a refund, and if you do happen to find flex ducts that will fit the L69 breather and snorkels, I would definitely be interested. This does reiterate that pictures help both sides a ton in avoiding such misunderstandings. I apologize if I was harsh or a little impatient - in hindsight, 2 days isn't all that much time to respond...
Very true most people dont wanna split up something like this that is more valuable as a set.
Yes our communications went very fast. Yes in hindsight I know exactly what the flex ducts are, and Iam fairly certain I can locate them, when I do I will keep my word and ship them no charge to you. And I will also partially refund your shipping costs. In trying to be a smarter seller I should've made pics a must have before selling to leave no questions, and also to not mention a shipping refund, when it comes down to selling stuff on here you've gotta be firm with shipping costs because, like you mentioned its almost not worth it sometimes. But I said I would send a partial refund, and I will. The refund will be the difference between postage cost and reasonable cost for handling and packaging, because after those two costs are combined there is some money leftover that is just "extra" that I will refund.
I also would like to apologize for not being ready for such a quick sale and not having what you needed, and if I came across in a way that I didnt accept any fault. I accept your apology, I would also be disappointed, if I were you.
Yes I beleive this was just a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding that can be avoided in the future for all members on TGO. You absolutely need pictures, and everything has to be clarified.
Iam glad we can come to some form of an agreement, I will do my part to right the situation. In doing so I hope to rid of any grudge between us on here because I believe all members on TGO are here to help eachother and slove problems not create them.
I will inform you via PM when I find the flex ducts, you should receive a paypal payment within the next day or so.

Much appreciated. As for the pictures - just as much my fault there, it's easy enough to get mixed up like this without pics. I made an assumption that my definition of complete was the same as yours (although I still can't say I agree with yours), and that when asking we were on the same page with regards to terminology. I let some things slide compared to when I usually buy stuff online, as I didn't want to loose out on the sale.

Agreed, and no grudges here. What you're offering is fair if you can locate some flex ducts, and all I would have expected to "make things right" - I perhaps just needed a little more patience for your reponse
