If anyone is interested, I have a 305 block, crank, flywheel, and heads that I want out of the garage. If anyone wants it, come and get it. I'm in Elk Grove Village.

Is it an LG4 or an LO3. If its an LO3 I'll take it.

there is no injection parts on it, so it can be whatever 305 version you want it to be.

i also have a 305 out of a 88 iroc was tpi runs great.from heads to pan.100.00

I'm not sure whether my distributor shaft and gear in my LO3 would work on an LG4. Will it? Plus, I didn't think the LG4 had spots for the knock sensor or the fan switch.

The code designation for it is LB9. This is an 87 block out of a TPI. It should for fine if you want to use TBI on it. It has the knock sensor boss. The cooling fan switch can go in the intake or the head, the driver side head is tapped for a cooling sensor.
The head casting numbers are: 14101081
The block casting numbers are: 14093627
