the fast unit is the XFI standalone unit with wire harness. the throttle body is BBK 58mm unit. I need to sell asap to fund a new project. Open to offers would like $500 but I understand that the economy sucks. Stock fuel rail.

Re: Complete TPI setup with aftermarket goodies.

If it makes you feel any better, I sent this seller money through payapl for the TB right after you sent him money. I sent him a message explaining what had happened and he refunded my payment (though it is still pending) I have heard the same excuses as everyone else. Atleast this guy contacted me back saying that he had already sold the whole setup and acted in paypal. Good luck to you...stay positive
Hopefully everyhting works out for everyone, it was a sweet deal

Re: Complete TPI setup with aftermarket goodies.

Still havent heard jack....
And I have to wait until the 11th April for Paypal to do anything about, by which time the money will be spent and gone. They better refund it or I'll be extremely pissed!
And i'd say that ends my buying experience on thirdgen.org,
I suppose there has to be lowlifes everywhere even in camaros, trans-AMs and auto message boards.
Thanks for trying to keep my hopes up guys but it looks like I'm now on a long list of gullible internet scam'ees.

So, I checked with paypal. The refund this guy sent me is stil pending, which means he has no money in his paypal account. So if you sent him the money through that, he has already transferred it and is probably gone. If we are scammed, then it will be my third time on this board getting the shaft. I will keep you informed of my situation. Good luck

Re: Complete TPI setup with aftermarket goodies.

Well, just got an email stating that there wasn't enough money in this seller's bank account to process my $150 refund. I had to open a dispute in paypal, but that doesn't really do anything....as I have found out the hard way before. I see this seller has not been on the boards in a while, maybe he is just unable to get on here (doubt it though)

Wonderful.
I'd love to know what's the F&*KIN point of paying fees to paypal, if they can't guarantee or insure your payments, i thought that's their whole reason for being, what a bunch of wankers, way to earn your keep you oxygen theives.
It no wonder the states are up **** creek because of debt, no-one gives a crap if they pay debt or just throw caution to the wind.

Always use your credit card when using paypal.com.

CC companies will always refund the money to your card, you can't do that with a bank account transaction

Yeah, definitely run your paypal through a CC. Paypal BLOWS with refunding money. People think just because they use them they're in the clear...that's so far from the truth.

Sorry you got burned

Well I paid through paypal with a debit card, I might ring the bank and see if they can do anything.
I rang paypal and they said they can reverse the transaction from his bank account.... but if he was plannign the scam from the start i doubt he would have used the bank account he gets paid into. that is if the lowlife f*&k even has a job.

By they way, thanks guys for letting me vent and the condolences.
The worst part is now I don't feel like doing anything to the car.
Parts are either too rare here or people want ridiculous prices for parts and it just seems like its cursed.

Re: Complete TPI setup with aftermarket goodies.

I think we all need to start looking into sellers more. He was a Junior member with only 23 posts. To me, that wouldn't be enough to be able to count on him. I've been on here a long time (used to have a different name that doesn't work anymore) and have developed some good friendships off here. I only deal with people that are recommended for now on, not just a member on here. Congrats on getting your money back. I'm glad someone out there cares about the consumer.

Re: Complete TPI setup with aftermarket goodies.

Yeah, i definately learned my lesson.
I'll only buy from senior members from now on, or members willing to put the item through ebay so I'm covered by paypal.
I still can't believe he was stupid enough to put money in the account again.
I surely hope this is a trend of a new breed of stoopider criminals

possibly he was desperate for a loan, and figured this was the best option with full intentions of putting money back into the account.

just a thought, none the less this whole transaction is very entertaining haha

glad you got your money back man

Re: Complete TPI setup with aftermarket goodies.

Thanks mate.
Actually bought a TPI setup in Oz with the funds.
Now I'm gonna get it ported, 30lb injectors installed, bigger TB and chuck it on my 300hp motor, along with some 195 or 215 heads, bigger cam and should have some fun
Just gotta geta E6GMX haltech to run it all.
