L98 Cylinder heads, Complete assembled!

L98 Heads from a 1987 Iroc Camaro l98 350 with 80,000 Miles. They are fully assembled and would just need to be cleaned to run. They have no cracks and are in great shape. Also have valve covers. These heads are newer style center bolt heads. Can be used on any SBC (i think). at least any year 350. (there cast camaro/trans am heads not aluminum corvette heads)

Sorry to hear about your ride. I understand if it takes a bit for you to get back to me on the part number. I'll just keep checking my e-mail to see if you've written back about it. Again, sorry about your ride.

no they are not 081 heads. the 081 in the center bolt config are 416 heads in the non center bold config.
and there were iron and alunimun config in the l98's.

What? the 081 in center bolt style is 416 in the non center bolt style? that made no sence.

and yeah like i said in my description. They are the Cast ones. for camaros/firebirds.

So you were trying to say that there 416 heads. but are basicly the same as a 081 head? right

I know there are cast and aluminum l98's. Aluminum's for Vettes. and the cast where for camaro's/firebirds.

I know there not 081 heads now.

SO there 416 heads? but are not centerbolt?

Im sorry but this VVVVVVVV (below)does NOT make sense to me at all still.

081 in the center bolt config are 416 heads in the non center bold config.

Thats basically ur saying 416's are center bolts in non center bolt configuration?

you posted the same thing.

Re: L98 Cylinder heads, Complete assembled!

Im not sure how true it is, but I've heard it a lot of times myself.

What he's trying to say is that the TPI motors had iron 416 casting number heads until they switched over to center bolt valve covers. The new casting was 081. The ports and chambers etc are allegedly the same between the two of them with the only difference being how the valve cover attaches and a few of the intake bolts.

Re: L98 Cylinder heads, Complete assembled!

Are these heads still available? and if they're truely from an L98 they are not 081 casting number heads. 081's are a 305 head. You can put 081's on a 350 but will boost your compression ratio to 10.1:1 due to the 58cc combustion chamber which will cause you to run 92 octane fuel. But if you do still have them and they are L98 iron heads I'd be willing to purchase as well. I live in Ohio and could come pick them up.

What's your price on this set? do they need re built? I wouldn't be able to get out there until next weekend as I will be out of town this weekend. Do you have any other remaining L98 parts?

I wanted $100, but Ill take $80. I think with a valve job and some cleaning they should be good to go. Also have l98 crank, rods, pistons, and flywheel.

80 sounds great. Like I said I'm not available to come and check them out until next weekend. If there is a problem with next weekend let me know otherwise I'll stay in touch over the next week and set up a time next Saturday if possible. Let me know!

Re: L98 Cylinder heads, Complete assembled!

I appologize, I've been in Canada for work all week and looks like I'm leaving in the morning for another project in Texas. So I will not be available to take a look at the set of cylinder heads you have. I'll have to keep you posted on when I'll be available next. Sorry for the inconvenience. I hope you haven't been saving them for me. I just don't know when I'll have another chance to come out to get them. So if any other offers come along for them go right on a head and sell them. I'm not in any hurry on my motor so I'm sure there will be other sets around somewhere.
