I've started the process of swapping a LS1 into my 92 Firebird. I'm posting this up to see if anyone would be interested in the old motor/trans combo as a replacement for a broken 3.1 or 2.8. The motor that I am pulling has 142,000 miles on it, but it runs perfectly. I have owned the car for over 3 years, and during that time replaced just about every sensor on the engine with NEW AC DELCO parts, new dist cap/rotor, spark plugs/wires, etc. Oil was changed religiously every 2500-3000 miles. New water pump, alternator, intake/distributor gaskets, 180* thermostat, etc. The transmission had a fluid/filter change 10,000 miles ago.
Everything works perfectly. The motor/trans are still in the car, so if you want to check it out and take a test drive to verify how great a shape the motor is in, that is possible. My car is at JS Performance in Hulmeville, PA. Feel free to PM or call me at 610-608-8224.
Thanks,
Chris
