Once again... exactly what I want, but it's too far away.
Good luck with the sale.

TOO far?? Wisconsin is not too far is it?? Ive met people half way for stuff like this from the other side of PENN??
I,m 300 miles from you?? Half way would be nothing. We could meet up half way acroos Indiana or something like that. Granted you would have Chicago to go around but meh. Think about it.
I just checked it out and it probably wouldn't be that bad of a drive. Can I get some more info on the rear end?
What year 4th gen is it out of?
Is it a 3 or 4 channel rear end?
How many miles are on it?
Are the axles and axle tubes still straight?
What kind of posi unit?
Does the posi still work?
Is the an odd wear pattern on the gears?
Did it make any odd noises?
Are the brakes the LT1 or the LS1 setup?
Are the calipers and rotors still usable?
Are the parking brake cables included?
Was anything recently replaced?
Was it ever rebuilt?

I can get you all the Pics you want on gear teeth, as far as does it whine or anything, I,m not sure, I bought the car as a roller with the engine half torn apart. I still need to count the teeth to make sure its a 3.42 but almost ALL Z28s with 1st gear lock down are 3.42's, not to mention there smaller than the usual 2.73 you find in most stock LT1's.
The e brake cable would be included I just have to disatatch them from the frame of the car, I just disconnected the cables from the Calipers so far. The rear disc could be better but I dont see why they woudlnt work, and there is about half the pads left.
Ive got to do some cleaning up in the garage this evening so I have room to work, parts everywhere, and I,ll get you a load of pics.
If we do a half way deal I.m going to want at least $170 to get my gas guzzler truck there and back.

Says 3.42 right on the ring gear. Rotors where grooved so there no good unless you want to turn them.
Pads are ok. E brake cables included just still on the car. The case is a little rusty as it sat for three years in a garage.
I'm gonna have to pass. I'll be quitting my job so I won't have any money to play with.

i'd be pretty interested, i live in ohio near columbus. so the e brake cables look to be in usable condition huh?
has a lot of miles ,but looks clean to me...... i'd probably be able to pick her up in 2 weeks what do you think?
i might take you up on meeting me half way if you would too, let me talk to my dad and see what he wants to do (i'll be using his truck, plus we have family in akron). i'll give him a ring and see what he says.

If flaming-ford doesn't take this I'm very interested. I'm in Detroit, so I'm not too far away.
First Come first serve.
Flaming Ford, do you or did you have a BRIGHT BLUE RS at one time?? I think you have bought from me before.
Either one of you I would meet half way.
Like I said also up above, The ebrake cables are good, as long as they connect to the doohicky in the rear doghouse on a third Gen. However you get the spring and the Lever doohicky back on the Caliper is your problem as well, That ebrake setup is the stupidest thing Ive ever seen.
you will need to get a set of Rotors to make the rear disc work, but there not much, I just got some for mine.
If it's still around next week I'll probably take it. I need this weekend to get a new trans in my truck so I have something to haul it in. I'll let you know as soon as I can.
WOW, quitting in this economy?? Work must really suck were you are.
It's not really the work that sucks, it's that I'm a full time college student with 18 credits at a school that moves at a faster pace then most. I simply don't have enough time to focus on my school work with my job. The other thing is, my school isn't exactly cheap... ~$15k a year. I can't afford to do poorly.
