Re: FS: Complete CURRIE Bolt-In HD Ford 9" Rear End

Sorry guys ive been working doubles all week and when i get home its dark and im pretty beat. If i get home at a decent hour tomorrow ill snap a couple. If not i will get some up saturday.

Control Arms say MORRISON/GAZAN on them. They have a adjustable rod end on them that triangulates off the arm and ontop the top portion of the axle tube. This gives some added support to the rear end and torque arm so it dosnt try to twist out of the car. It will probably make more sense once i get some pics up.

It depends on what he has on the car if it is worst my trip. Just for the rear end alone, I would just spend extra to buy a new one. I could visit a friend on my way back if I decide to make the trip.

Re: FS: Complete CURRIE Bolt-In HD Ford 9" Rear End

Sorry for such the delay guys ive been battling a pretty tough cold or flu all week and today i finally felt decent enough to go outside and do something. Its been raining here allllll week long and its in a gravel driveway so yes everything has splash up on it and is dirty so if your expecting a bigblock show car here your going to be upset.

The rear end can be sold as a complete setup or someone can by the whole rolling car MINUS THE ENGINE AND TRANS. I will include all the 91 RS(25th ann) ground effects, hatch, tailights and whatever else you want off of it with the car for $2000.

The WELD wheels that are on the vette were on the camaro and will have to be sold with the camaro. I was wrong about the rear wheels, they are a FORD pattern, NOT A CHEVY pattern. I ASSumed it was a big and lil chevy pattern on the welds but they arent. They dont fit well on the vette as its got stupid huge 4 wheel discs so im just going to get another set with the correct spacing. Id like to get $2500 the rolling titled 84 camaro w/ welds, ford 9" and everything camaro that is at my house. If you want the 91 chassis to its yours but theirs no title.

Here is the LINK TO THE PICTURES

If you want a better pic of something just ask.

After seeing the pictures, I decided not to pursueing it. As I had mentioned, it would not be worth for me to drive just to pick the rear end up and I don't think the rest of the car is worth another $1,000.
Any way, there were few guys near by you that can quickly drive to pick it up. Good Luck!

Re: FS: Complete CURRIE Bolt-In HD Ford 9" Rear End

I'm a little confused. Does the rear take all the typical Gm bolt circle and backspacing as stock?

Does that wierd control arm set up not require a Torque arm? Where is the origanal torque arm bracket from currie to run one(a T/A)?

Re: FS: Complete CURRIE Bolt-In HD Ford 9" Rear End

No it takes a ford bolt pattern as i said you would need to get the wheels with it or already have welds which come with dual patterns.

Yes that "weird" control arm setup lets you not run a torque arm. The car was setup like that when i got it and was ran like that. Had no problem bringing the front wheels up on a hard launch. It does have very decent sized subframe connectors welded in underneath the car.

Re: FS: Complete CURRIE Bolt-In HD Ford 9" Rear End

Its still a bolt in currie 9" here guys. You CAN still use your stock or aftermarket control/panhard/torque arms. The rear end is in no way modified so your stuck using these different style arms. The torque arm mount tubes are still on there and everything else is still bolt-up. The prices are obo they are not firm nor solid so if you feel im asking to much PM me with a offer....all i can say is yes/no.

I do have 2 local people coming tomorrow to check it out so if anyone is seriously interested just PM me. I dont need rude comments like the Canada guy left in my for sale thread.

Re: FS: Complete CURRIE Bolt-In HD Ford 9" Rear End

That Canadian is an idiot. Sorry but nobodys driving for 4 days with a trailer to pick up a $2000 car. And besides, what did he expect for $2g?

I'll be honest with you. I feel like if your gonna spend money on a used rear than it needs to be a good deal, like $800-1200. A new Moser is $2300 shipped with 10 year axle warranty.

And rememeber, for every stand up guy selling something on the net, theres 10 people ripping people off. (noisey gears, chattering posi, etc...)

1500 would be cool if it was clean, new, and a direct swap. That rear will need to have the factory Currie bracket that bolts into those tubes to work with anyones torque arm. I have a spohn one and would like to retain it.

And also, My wheels are Pro stars with a single pattern. So thats no good.

There should be no problem selling this rear for a good price, someone will be happy with it. That bracket is available from currie I hear.

Hey Guys, I didn't mean to offend anybody here. If I did, I am sorry, but please do not call name. I should have worded properly as that it is not worth for me to drive 2 days to pick it up since all I am interested in is the rear end just like most of you.

Ok Ive got a serious offer of 1600$ for the whole car but he wont have the money till this saturday. If this price range puts the car back into some of your guys interests speak up now. He didnt give me a deposit to hold the car and im a first come first served kind of guy. Im off tuesday and wednesday this week and will be pulling the motor and trans out then. If anyone would like to come check the car out on those 2 days i will be most available then.
