No, that won't work for me. That is a '88 federal emissions L98 350 TPI 3.27 ratio PROM which is designed for the 9th cold start injector. It will make my '89 without the CSI harder to start.

5-speed? The L98 TPI 350 was only available with an TH700R4 automatic trans. If your PROM is for a TPI 5-speed it could only be a 305 LB9. That won't help me any. Right now the car somehow ended up with a '89 California emissions 305 LB9 5-speed 3.08 ratio PROM and I want to get the correct '89 L98 TPI 350 TH700R4 auto 2.77 axle ratio PROM for it.

oh sorry i didnt tell you the car was modified for a 5 speed it is an l98 350

to tell you the truth i looked at the chip and there was nothing on it i belive it has an aftermarket chip in it but i have a few that came with the car. along with tuning software what #s am i looking for and where is

If you're still looking, I've got this prom from an '89 Trans-Am 350 auto. It worked when it was swapped for a Hypertech awhile back. Asking $100 shipped.

ls2 dude, if you look at the top of the blue calpak/PROM there should be two large vent holes. In one of them you should see a foil tag on top of the chip inside with a four letter code on it. That will identify what engine and specs its for.

Indianavette, did you accidently put one too many zero's in that price? Complete ECM/PROMs are forsale on here all the time for around $50.

Hi Hope you got your Prom issue resolved. I wanted to know where you got your Prom info from I need one for an 89 350/700r4 2.77 CALIFORNIA and need to come up with the acceptable codes.
