He has a Mustang project that's he's been buying parts for all summer trying to get it complete. He's got the headers, the mufflers, and wants to get an X muffler and the exhaust done. He's wanting to get it done before the season runs out so he can get a good baseline and mod over the winter. I told him that was insanely cheap he says he doesn't care he needs the cash and his job mowing is about over. I told him to put 250 plus shipping on it and he said no just get it sold so his loss, whoever gets it's gain. I know he paid over 300 dollars for it locally so he's taking a big loss on it but hey it's not mine. He actually gave it to me to list on ebay but eBay turbo's have a bad reputation and I'de rather pass it on to people I have some connection with.

As for how much it will support and brand I'm not sure, I don't know alot about turbos. It was originally bought to be put onto a Mustang, the plan was ditched and the turbo was sold between friends, other friend ditched the idea as well and now it's on here.

This isn't a bolt on affair, it's quite an involved install; check out the Power Adder forum for write ups on how to do a turbo install on a Camaro. Keep me posted so I know for sure if you want it.

What Brand is it.? and PN# on it.

Is it a ebay ssauto chrome? Power XS or what ever else names they go but Turbo??

It should have some kind of ##'s on it etc.

I MIGHT be interested if 1. its NOT one of the ssa turbos and 2. nobody who posted above wants it.

this is the kind of turbo it is: http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/po...guy-about.html (Trying to warn a guy about SSautochrome/XSpower/Turbo ZY, turboschargers...)

For those of you looking for a turbo, the only affordable deals in turbos come from Master Power. A real turbo manufacturer, from brazil, making turbos that last longer than one day with real parts in them, not something made to look like a real turbo to help some guys dupe people out of a fortune over the internet or on ebay.

I really hope you're not trying to direct that "Dupe some guys out of a fortune over the internet or on ebay" at me because that's some serious SH!T if you are. May I ask how you know what the manufacturer on this turbo is? I haven't even looked at it since I was asked but I didn't see a manufacturer name on it when I listed it or I would've put it there! I assure you this turbo came locally I have no idea where it was originally purchased but I'll tell the owner to make an account on here and give you some background if you want. If it is an SSA turbo then how am I supposed to know this? How was i even supposed to know what an SSA turbo was considering I've never messed with turbo equipment before; I run nitrous. In any event it is what it is, it's not even mine to begin with; and I'll provide any more info I can on it, even if that involves disassembling it to show the internals; IM NOT HERE TO RIP ANYONE OFF check my feedback in seller feedback forum if you like.

alright people i cant beleive i joined TGO when i dont even have one but heres the deal. a stock mustang block is junk, i worked at a perfomance shop, you hit near 600 hp a few times and bam an 80/90's 302 block breaks. there isnt a damn thing wrong with this turbo, it will push more hp than my engine can take is why im getting rid of it. the guy at the shop i worked at tried to trade me a bunch of stuff for it but i need cash, i already have all my parts, ported intakes, spacers, maf conversion, rims, cam, headers, fuel pressure regulator, racing clutch, ect ect ect.. i dont need any parts he has. i paid $340 for this and its never been used. i need some CASH to finish my exaughst wich is tipping the scales at about $865 my loss is your gain. i dare you to try to find one cheaper because it wont happen. either you want to turbo a 3rd gen or ya dont. only person getting ripped in this sale is me. but you sarcrifice what ya dont need for what else ya want. id love to see one of you guys drop this on car and blow the damn tires off the rims, at least your block can handle it.

Look don't get all bent out of shape, just because these things are floating around out there originally put out by people misrepresenting them as actual turbos, doesn't mean that people who end up with them and try selling them, sometimes even to friends, are the crooks.

Im not trying to say you are misrepresenting this product, I mean they certainly by all means look like a real turbo so how could you know.

As far as knowing what it is I can see the pictures in the top of the post. I am very very familiar with these turbos.

Im just trying to get the word out so that people, including you, don't get duped further. It has to stop somewhere. I am really sorry if I am sticking you with this thing by telling people what it is. But once these things get into circulation like this eventually it gets onto a car and the owner goes, "WTF?!?" when it stops spinning or flys apart into the intercooler, or someone like me who knows about XSpower, TurboZY, SSautochrome stuff spots it and tells people.

Im sorry if it makes you mad, but it doesn't change what it is.

To clear up the poop in people paties about the SSA turbos....they can be sent out, balanced and new bearings installed and still come out to the price of a similar sized turbo......not much saved by buying a turbo that new, has issues...but they aren't paperweights...they just need improvements...

I suppose if you did that

as well as machined the bearing area with the missing machine processes (if there is enough material left to do it in)

and

Replaced the impeller with a billet one instead of one fully machined from a piece of cast aluminum, then it might actually work.

Or

for the same money, and none of the fear of having your engine and intercooler filled with bits, you could buy an expensive turbo

Masterpower T61's are $600 and you can get about any turbine housing combo your little heart desires....I dont consider that.."expensive" seeing as he paid 340 for that one in the first place....

Yes but his is not a master power, so it doesnt help that it was cheaper, if that is what you meant.

I was a little confused about your statement.

But if a person absolutely positively must destroy their project, there are many of the same TurboZY/SSAutochrome/XSPower "Super T70" turbos on ebay for $279.

I would also like to point out that I am not making personal attacks on anyone, just trying to inform more and more people about these turbos.

Turbo is still at my house but any dealings with it will be taken up by Ttop87Stang direct any PM's to him. I'm willing to pull it apart and check the internals if anyone would like to see inside, I'm actually curious myself. I spent the last few days researching SSAutochrome/XSturbo/whatever they call themselves today and the results aren't good. Unless they redesigned the oil passages these turbo's have bad issues.
