who made it and why did you change it

It was made by Skulte Designs if I remember correctly. One of the first companies to offer the retrofit crossmember. The only reason I changed it is I went with a aftermarket spohn crossmember, and decided to upgrade the transmmission crossmember as well to change the location of the torque arm mount(from tailshaft to tranny crossmember), and wanted a crossmember with a driveshaft loop attached due to the increased power/torque from the new engine setup in the car.
