062 Vortec Heads and Intake

I'm selling a set of 062 vortec heads I was going to use on a future project. Plans have since changed and I would at least like to get my money back out of them. They have been cleaned, magnafluxed cut for .600 lift retainer clearance and viton seals milled .010 for flatness and a New valve job done. I have new Viton seals and .600 lift valvesprings. I also have the locks and retainers. $500 + shipping or local pick-up can be arranged.

The intake is a pro products air gap style intake. I want $150 shipped for it. I will take $600 for both + shipping or local pick-up.

These are the ones WITHOUT the power robbing hardened exhaust seat found in the 906 heads.

I will also include the stock self aligning pushrods if needed.

64 cc combustion chambers and flows around 239 @ .450 lift Intake side stock.
Excellent heads for making 400+ horsepower.

I'm located 50 mins SW of Richmond VA.

Re: 062 Vortec Heads and Intake

The cheapest I can sell the heads and intake for is $600. I have more than that in them. $200 for the heads $350 in the machine shop (cleaned, checked for cracks, guide bosses milled for retainer clearance, surface milled for trueness. Then I have the new springs ($79) and valve seals ($23) I will include the rocker arms and the retainers and locks. If wanted I will assemble them for you I just need the cam specs.

The intake has never been bolted on an engine.

For the poster from NC I will be in Ronoake Rapids NC either this Friday or Monday during my workday.

Do those heads happen to have the 7th exhaust bolt hole?

No true vortec heads came with the 7th hole to my knowledge. However I have heard of adapters.

Re: 062 Vortec Heads and Intake

I will half UPS shipping with the buyer (must be lower 48 U.S.). These are the best casting of vortecs you can buy period.

These are the American cast 062 Vortecs.

NOT the made in mexico 062's that have the smaller intake ports.
NOT the 906 vortecs with the restrictive hardened seats.

The hard work is already done on these. Get them while you can.

Re: 062 Vortec Heads and Intake

With a flat-top 355 with a 274 extreme cam, air gap intake, stock rockers and 750 DP I have run 12.1 in a 3300lb Monte Carlo SS. These heads are easily capable of 400+ hp in a matched combo.

They will probably add 50hp to a stock engine (L98) through compression and flow gains. More with a cam.

Re: 062 Vortec Heads and Intake

alright, you still have these heads for sale?

Origional press in studs or screw in?

What hardware did you use (by that i mean the springs, and retainers and whatnot)

I take it this is with no rockers correct?
