I bought this new about 4 years ago for my 84 305 camaro. I sold the car before I installed it. I dropped a wrench on 1 side of this and put some small dents in the cover only no internal damage see pics. Never installed. The other flange has some light surface rust on it. Random Technology website says this is for 83-85 305 Camaros, 82-85 Corvettes and 83-88 305 Monte Carlos. P/N 191-30002. I believe this cat will work on 82 Camaros. For some reason they give a different P/N for a Firebird 305. I thought the exhaust was the same on Camaros and Firebirds. For more specs: http://www.randomtechnology.com/chevrolet.html
The cheapest I could find a new one was $280 plus shipping.
They made them this way so they would fit Camaros, Corvettes and Monte Carlos. You will have to have small piece of air tube made and clamped or welded.
