I bought it back in feb. for $1700. Everyone has heard about wynjammer for the trucks. I bought it and used a spacer and my own bracket to mount his kit for 88-95 tbi trucks. worked good only has 500 miles on it, the tranny blew so Im most likely selling the car. The kit made 6psi. I'll include all the piping I used, the blow off valve and the kit itself. Supercharger is nice and tight good whine is cool to the touch. I did have to move the washer bottle to fit the filter but Im sure theres other ways around that. it runs off the alt pulley, I didnt have any problems with it. Askin $1200. you can check his site at www.wynjammer.com
ive really read a lot about these and they seem like a good product for someone on a budget. Do you have any dyno sheets to show the power gains? Id like to hear from first hand experience cause a lot of people talk bad on these so i wanted to hear what you had to say about it. I wish i had the money cause i would take it off your hands. Thats a bummer that your tranny works but i guess you found out that the charger works. haha.
its a good kit, It wasnt to difficult to install, has directions. I dont have any dyno numbers but I can say it should make what he claims. It increased my torque, but I was in the processes of tuning it with 454 injectors when the tranny went. it was running lean after 3000rpm. you would need a bigger fuel pump and/or a adj. fuel reg. if you didnt do that already.. my mistake not to. then tune some more. If I had the time I would replace the pump and get it working.
damn i would love to pick this up...but i am in the process of moving back to long island (odd ha) so maybe once i am settled and you still have it i will pick it up...regardless..good luck with the sale.
would it work on a tpi. I have a sn92 that I havent installed buy I hear mixed things about them so I might get this one. Also what year and size motor do you have. Thanks
its a 305 with zz4 cam and world heads. It might make less boost since you got a 383, I know you can get around 8-10psi with a pulley change though. The serpentine belt is the same so physically the charger will bolt up in the same spot as mine. I did have to move the fuel lines lower since on TBI the fuel lines run right across and bolt to the block under the alternator, I dont know if its like that on TPI. Only problem I see you having is the intake pipe, yours is at the front you would have to get elbows and go around the alt. then go forward over the rad hose then another bend to go up into the front of the engine. Kinda like 2 big U's. I do have some other 3" intake pipes and rubber elbows left over. I bought one of those intercooler pipe kits on ebay.
dang little late on this one. but just out of curiosity would you of trade a five speed with every thing to convert from auto to manual for it seeing how your tranny died? just wondering
sorry its long gone.. not to many people bought the kit from wynjammer.. I dont think there are many floating around. when I bought it that guy didnt make a camaro version only trucks, I had to modify the bracket to fit our TBI serpentine belt. He makes a kit now, but its different and a lot more $$$. The S-10 guys seem to like it.. I wish he would just sell the blower it was really nice and compact. good for a custom install..
