Hey Goodlookin...hm...that sounds creepy...
Anyway, I'm in Stafford CT, about 40 minutes north east of Hartford. The motor is in the basement of my house and currently has the pan and intake off so you'd be able to inspect everything personally if you stopped by.

Re: 383 LT1 In CT - 450HP - 0 Miles!
damn. If I hadn't just bought a motor I would pick this up.
Your not looking for a forged GEN1 386 by anychance? lol
I am looking to go over to FI, but have too much invested in the carb setup I have now.
(student too)
I am a mechanical engineer too! 4 weeks left for my bachelors, then heading right back in for my masters in Sept! Ugh...
Anyways, SICK deal. I have a motor and like $500 haha.

Re: 383 LT1 In CT - 450HP - 0 Miles!
Go to my cardomain, there are MORE than enought pics there.
I paid $6300 for my setup.
Cost me just about all the $ i had at the time. lol.
Forged eagle crank,
forged rods,
forged pistons,
Trickflow heads, 74cc chambers, 195cc Runners, CNC comb chamers (Al),
RPM airgap with endurashine finish
MSD pro billet dizzy
77 truck block
hydrolic roller lifters retrofitted (for the non roller block)
Huge cam, 242/254 duration
Holley 750 DP with chokeless main body and adj, air bleeds.
Barless N20 plate
welded al valvcovers.
1.5 trickflow RR
chromoly pushrods
SS valves
Think thats about it
Car dynoed with 340 HP and 340 TQ to the wheels with a T-56. Think there is a problem with the exhaust, It was dented in and might have been casuing the #s to be lower than they should. I also hear that my spintech muffler robs power.
It just tipped the 4000 mile mark.
I am not looking to get rid of it like the flu, its a good motor. I just would love the benefits of F.I. and the driveability.
But if I loose any power it just isn't worth it, not just yet.
Esspecially since I KNOW that I can find more with this setup.
Anyways, thats my state.
-Later.

Re: 383 LT1 In CT - 450HP - 0 Miles!
To be completely honest, I didn't have the motor I have dyno tunned b4 it went in.
But if I was to rip it out and go over to cast parts as opposed to my forged, and get FI,
I wouldn't bother with all the trouble unless it was dynoed and I knew what it made. Thats just the reality of where I am with my car right now. I NEED to know exactly what I am getting myself into.
I am sure you know what I mean...
