406 short block and 700r4 cheap - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

I have the 406 shortblock I had th emotor all the way built and changed my mind on it. I had all th emachine work done new .030" speedpro hyper pistons 010 lunati bm2 cam cloyes gear drive on the front new bearings (obviously) but it has been sitting inside uncovered for about 2 years now so it needs taken back apart and a bottle brush run through the cylinders, won't have to change pistons but possibly rings not sure This isn't a hard job kind of a pita though but the machine work cost me $1200 then $500 for the 400 sbc core $200 for the pistons $160 for the cam $120 for the gear drive. So yeah I got a decent chunk of cash into but I should be pulling it out along with the 700r4 that was supposedly rebuilt before I bought the car (I never saw any paperwork on it though so I don't know for sure) I was thinking $650 for the shortblock and $250 for the trans. I am in NW ohio about 45 min south of Toledo.

ttt no one wants a good deal on a 400 or needs a trans? If not maybe I will rebuild it and throw on a set of vortec heads but then the price goes up.
