I can build you a custom alternator to your specs in 160, 180 or 200 amp ratings. It is much cheaper than buying a so-called "Performance" alternator, which rarely live up to their claims. By way of example, my 160 amp produces 115 amps at Idle (900 Rpm), and 150 amps at 1600 rpm. 160 amps at about 2200 rpm. I have lots of options, such as chrome and billet cases, billet fans and billet pulleys. Base price, with exchange for the 160 amp version is 150.oo (You pay shipping) P.M. me if interested.
Thank you!
One thing that I forgot to mention is that the core you send me does not have to work. The only stipulation is that it cannot be "Burned". (Windings must still be good.) I can re-wind them, but there is additional cost for that as the price for copper has gone up so much!!
how much to upgrade? my alt is good but I just want more out of it for stereo upgrade later also HID going on later also. I have a Delco Saturn faceplate on it so I want this one back.
I usually rebuild your old one and send it right back to you. As long as it is a DELCO alternator (Or MOTORCRAFT) It's not a problem. The price depends on what you want to upgrade to (Amperage). PM me and we will talk about it.
can you have the case powdercoated? Im not going to do it tomorrow or anything, but when i put in my new engine, im going all black. I will be needing to get my alt rebuilt (got it in a package deal for a serpt system), and im sure it at least needs new bearings.
LOL, I'm still trying to figure out the whole Digital-camera-connected-to-computer, thing! I will post some pics as soon as I can get a young person to help me!! Most of my work looks like a new alternator (I repaint the cases, unless you tell me not to)
Yes, I can build one for a corvette. No price diff.
