| I have basically a short block 454 I would like to sell. I got it from an early 80's motorhome, and it only has about 30,000 miles on it. The crosshatch pattern is still visible on the cylinder walls. I pulled the pistons and rods out to check wear, but the crank is still in and spins amazingly freely. The only things missing are the cam (the factory cam was ground flat by messed up heads), and an oil pump. You could slap this back together, dress it up and drive it! I was going to build a bracket racer, but changed my project goal. The core on this block alone is $250, I am only asking $200 for the entire package. I would be willing to trade for a fiberglass bolt-on hood, cowl induction, SS, or Sting Ray style to fit a '82-'92 Camaro.
