Yikes, you should beat the living snot out of whoever charged you that much! Porting the stock tpi system at most machine shops can be done for 150 bucks. Mind you, not much can be done with the stock runners, they are too thin to do anything with, and the intake manifold can be had from edelbrock for around 400 and runners around 350. I'd be interested in the plenum but that would be it. Pics again might actually get you the sale.

It's good to get another senior member to agree with me. I've been around cars for a long while and a few of my friends own machine shops, (lookup the member paulisgod) and I can tell you from experience, nothing can be done with the stock runners. They are too thin, which is why they dent so easily. Porting a stock base and plenum for 700 bucks is just plain retarded. Most machine shops are less than 100 for the intake and maybe 100 for the plenum if you want to port match gaskets and cut the plenum for slp runners. I'd be interested in the plenum but not any of the factory junk. I know that I would probably pay the highest amount for the plenum cause someone buys them from me, ports them, and sells them.
