Car: 88 IROC-Z and 86 IROC-Z Engine: TPI 305 and E85/Nitrous 383 Transmission: 700R4 and T56 Axle/Gears: 3:27 and TBA | [IL] 1989 TBI 350
Im cleaning out my garage and looking to build a little capital to put in my IROC so im getting rid of alot of stuff.
The engine is a 1989 350 TBI out of a full size truck. The TBI has been pulled and an aluminum intake from an early z28 has been put on. I pulled the engine 2 years ago and left it sit in my garage, then installed it in my 86 pickup and started it without priming the oil pump..... so it developed a rod knock. The engine only had like 50k on i when pulled it from the original truck and i took the complete engin directly to my local machine shop to assess the damage. The crank will need to be reground and it will need a new set of rods but there was no other damage to the engine. It did not smoke or burn any oil.
The engine is a complete long block from oil pan to valve covers. I will include the aluminum intake if wanted. it also had other little extras on it like a brand new water pump and pullys to switch it from a serpentine belt to v belt. I think i still have the serpentine pullys if you wanted to switch it back.

Im 45 mins south of chicago, delivery might be able to be worked out. Im not gonna ship because its too much of a pain. I also might trade for parts for my 85 IROC-Z. | | | |
