LS1 Rear Disk kit, complete

I have a rear disk kit from a 2000 Formula for sale. Everything worked great when I pulled it off the car. Everything needed for the swap is included. It could use a new set of pads, but theres still some life left on the ones there. The rotors could probably be turned too, but there not rusted bad at all. Asking $200 shipped.

Re: LS1 Rear Disk kit, complete

I may also be interested. Would these work for a 9-bolt? Do you have the required backing plates included?

Thanks,
Mike

The backing plates are included. This setup is everything you need. It will bolt directly to any 10 bolt with disk brakes, I dont think it will work with drums. But it will work whether or not you have the factory PBR setup or the iron calipers.

As far as the 9 bolt. It does have the right mounting spot, however you would have to redrill a couple holes on the backing plate, Its not hard to do.Other than that it would work no problem.

Unfortunately, to use them on a 9 bolt, along with drilling the backing plates, you have to also press the bearings off the axles and use shims between the retaining plates and axle seals. Since the LS1 backing plates are aluminum, they are like twice as thick as the 9 bolt's and you need to make up the difference to hold the seals in.

Re: LS1 Rear Disk kit, complete

Wow my bad, I did not know that. I was going off of the PBR setup that I made to go onto a 9 bolt, I figured this would be the same. Thanks for the info

Re: LS1 Rear Disk kit, complete

Im keeping the pbrs only because I already have brand new rotors and pads. In reality, this setup is better than the PBR's. The rotors are taller and much wider.

THESE WILL WORK WITH A DRUM SETUP, JUST HAVE TO DRILL 2 HOLES ON THE AXLE TUBE PLATES. THATS WHAT I DID FOR MINE.
