Car: 92 Z28 convertible Engine: Miniram 383 Transmission: T-56 Axle/Gears: 4.10 stk 10 bolt | Used TPIS oil pan 1 pc rear main This is a TPIS street oil pan for a 1 pc rear main seal motor, only used for maybe 10K miles on a Miniramed 383 motor. From TPIS web site:
Street:
TPIS has two styles of oil pans - one for the corvette and one for both the Camaro and Firebird. They feature improved baffling, built in scraper and a special baffle that helps separate excess air from the oil so the engine bearings receive pure oil, not airated. In tests performed since 1988 the results show that the oil pressure remains the same under sustained deceleration (180 mph - 0 mph). Both pans come with oil pump pick-up tube, and will accommodate high volume oil pumps. The stock F and Y body oil pans that come on cars for the most part will do a good job in protecting the engine. However when the suspension, brakes, and engine are modified and the car is driven to its limits, the oil pan is asked to work out side of its design limits and cannot control the oil adequetly. You need to also look at our oil cooler kits.
New they want $185 for this 600-607 pan, $80 shipped. Paypal only please. | | |
