Parting out '87 Trans Am 305 TPI, Beautiful Condition Parts
Hello All,
I've got a 1987 Pontiac Trans Am, 305 TPI, that I smashed the hood, front fenders, and radiator support on. I'm in the process of switching some of the pieces over to an '87 Pontiac Formula that I recently purchased, but there is still lots of stuff on the car that I will not be able to use.
I would keep it all for later use, but I'm a Midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy, and I have no storage available right now to keep stuff in. The car was in absolutely outstanding condition, the wiring harness, brackets, everything is like new inside and out. Feel free to PM me or post with whatever you need, and I'll let you know. Right off the bat, here's some pieces that I'm fairly certain people might be able to use:
-Complete TPI intake, runners, fuel rails, etc: $200
-PVC cold air intake, looks great, works awesome, with K&N filter: $50
-Edelbrock 600 cfm carb, with adapter plate, and 11" Edelbrock air cleaner, just removed from the Formula, was getting 26 highway MPG, very clean, still have boxes for everything: $120
-Accel Ignition Coil
-Formula 16x8" Aluminum wheels, all four. Painted black. We'll have to work out something on getting me some 15" wheels and tires to let it rest on, but they don't have to be fancy, I'm scrapping the car when I'm done anyways. Make an offer.
-15x7" Aluminum snowflake rims, very nice shape, will ship from Texas where I live. Centercaps included: $150 obo
-Swaybars, springs, anything like that too, again, make an offer!
I will also be able to entertain offers for anyone who would like what's left when I'm done. I plan on keeping the doors, ground effects, and rear bumper cover with some of the trim for eventually finishing out the formula, but the rest is pretty much up for grabs. There is not a drop of rust in the entire car, period.
Wiring, sensors, belts, hoses, anything your heart desires and I'm not already using, just let me know. Lots of good interior parts as well. Gray colored interior, beautiful condition.
Shipping is tough for me, I can only get to where the car is stored on weekends. If you're willing to wait, I can get stuff out, but expect some delays because it all has to be pulled, brought over, and shipped, and I don't exactly have the least demanding schedule. It's located in Annapolis, just across the river from the Academy. I can do pickups most weekends. I also make trips on occasion down to Columbia, SC, and Roanoke, VA, so I would be willing to drop stuff off along the way to help on shipping the big stuff.
I need this stuff gone guys, if you've got an offer, shoot. I can send out pictures if anyone has a request. Interested in trades as well, I'm building up this Formula and I really might be interested in anything, try me!

Hmmm... I'm going to have to dig out the service manual just to find that one. I removed the AIR Pump and Lines when I put in the headers, but as long as it wasn't integral to that assembly, it should still be there. If you've got a picture you could post, or a description of where it's located/what it looks like, I can find it for you.

Here's two of when they were still on the car... I've got pictures from the previous owner of before they were painted, and they are very nice underneath. My guess would be you could leave them as is, or strip the paint off and go back to bare aluminum.

Taillights are for sale, they are T/A units that I am pulling out of my Formula.
They are in nice shape except that the reflective tape strip at the bottom has been painted over black. It was a good job and looks nice, but it has been painted over.
Thanks,
-Levi
