It appears to be a 26 spline, 2 (?) Series Auburn Posi
part numbers are US 4612825
Original Box.
This stuff is original American iron, and was made long before GM was outsourcing to China for parts. The original part # is 26011226, which has been superceded to 26042991. Quick research shows this should fit 82-89 Chevy Camaro/Pontiac Firebird, 87-90 Caprice, 88 Monte Carlo, 88 Olds Cutlass. I cannot guarantee fitment for any of these models.
*26 Spline* but will work with any 7.625" GM 10 Bolt.

FWIW, it appears to be a 2 series but it can be determined from a simple measurement. If it's 1 5/8" measurement (red lines added to pic) then it is a 2 series. 1 7/8" measurement would make it a 3 series. This is usually done with the bearing/cap in place, but it will only change the measurement by about 1/16".

Exactly. I measured a known 7 5/8" differential WITH bearing, and it is 1 15/16" high.
