82-92 Camaro/Firebird Exhaust System For Sale

Up for sale is my current exhaust system on my Camaro. It's nothing real special, but would be great for a stocker as it is 2 1/4" piping. Everything is a year old with 5,000 miles on it.

Starting from the front: Headers are Jegs brand shorty headers with about 5,000 miles on them. One small dent in the passenger side header. Other than that, a fresh coat of paint they would look new. The Y pipe is welded into the collectors. I wasn't happy with this, but hell you don't have to worry about exhaust leaks.

The Y pipe is 2 1/4" tubing into a single 2 1/4" pipe that runs over the axle and into a Flowmaster 80 series muffler, with dual 2.5" tail pipes and welded chrome tips. The chrome is in great shape. No cat.

Again, this is not a high performance exhaust system. The bends aren't the prettiest, but the welds are good. Only reason I'm selling it is because I'm switching to long tubes and a larger cam.

I'm only asking $250 OBO plus shipping for the complete system. The headers were $90, the muffler was $100, and the install was about $250.

Here's a couple sound clips and some pictures:

Here's a picture of the rear section when I had to pull it out to drop the tank:

Bump to the top!

I would also entertain selling just the rear section and mid pipe if someone isn't interested in the headers and Y pipe.

Are the tips stainless, or just chrome? Is the muffler a 2.5 inlet with a 2.25 pipe welded in?

I'm not sure if they're stainless or not. I believe they are, as they're over a year old and show no sign of discoloration or pitting. If they aren't then, they're high quality chrome.

Yes, the muffler is 2.5" in dual 2.5" out. The shop I had do the install was supposed to use 2.5" pipe for the Y pipe and mid pipe, but they used 2.25". I didn't realize this until it was too late.

Like I said, it's a good system for a stocker, or even a mild build. I'm pushing around 300hp and I don't think it's restricting the motor too much.

If you can't sell the whole setup to someone, let me know. I would be interested in the muffler and tails.
