Engine was pulled from a 1987 IROC with an automatic transmission. Was going to use this engine in my Firebird until i found a reasonably priced LT1 engine. Looking to just recoop the money I spent getting the engine. Engine had ~115,000 miles, and ran when pulled. As of right now, you can turn the flywheel with a bit of resistance, and feel the pressure build up on the upstroke. This is a complete engine from throttle body to oil pan. Also included is a brand new, barely used MAF sensor. Car was crashed in less than 5,000 miles of installation. Comes complete with engine bay and interior harness out of the car, along with the LB9 ECU and mounting bracket. Also has cruise control cable still installed. Now for the options you have, they are as follows.
Flywheel OR flexplate, for manual OR automatic cars
Air intake box systems for camaro OR firebird
'87 V-belt system OR '88 serpentine belt system
You have a choice of one or the other on the above three items to help you put this into any Firebird or Camaro. Has motor mounts on motor still (not body mounts). Has accesories for both setups, alternator has been tested for both and work well. Starter for automatic is included, also tested and worked perfectly. Looking for $500 OBO.

92 Heritage RS Camaro, one of ~8200 in counting, will hopefully be running in time for NYThirdGen 4th of July car cruise on Deer Park Ave, LI.
Make offers, wouldn't mind getting this out of the garage to stop taking up space. Can get casting numbers if someone would like. Can also part if someone is interested in shipping of just the TPI parts like the heads, cam, and the rest of the setup. You can throw this stuff on any Gen 1 SBC 350 or greater! Let me know!
Id love to take that off your hands but shipping that bad boy all the way across the continent would be rediculously exspensive. Give me a shipping quote to V9B5W2, Victoria BC Canada?
I will have to look into that, anyone in the NE US send an engine to Canada before? That would be quite a stretch. Let me get ahold of a shipping company and see exactly what i'd need to do. If i just need to measure weight on a crate, i can do that, and i'll get back to you. It probably would be costly going into Canada anyways, but I will check for you. Bump for the weekend!
Just guestimating to FedEx, guessing 600-700 pounds, a crate thats 4'x4'x4', with a value of $500 is anywhere in the ball park of $2600-2800. Don't know if i did it right, but i'm guessing going into canada is the greatest part of the cost. I will looking into a couple other options and see what we can do. Do you have any friends in canada near NY that can cross the border to pick it up and possibly do an in continent shipment to you?
Can i interest you in the heads, cam, and entire tpi system with harness ect to ease shipping to you? Still might cost quite a bit, but it would be a lot cheaper, although the heads might have to be a second box alone.
How much for the long block only? I don't need anything else. I have a blown LB9 already so I only need the complete block with heads. You should be able to sell the TPI and all the accesories well. Shipped to 33175? wheight should be around 200 pounds if I'm not mistaking.

I will have to check on that, unless you have a near by freight company. I've never shipped anything this big/heavy before so i have no experience with dealing with the companies. I thought it was upserd the cost i got shipping something to canada. I will take a look around and call a few places, only issue is the nearest freight company is 1.5 hours to 2 hours away. I'll make some calls though.
If someone can take this engine off my hands by February 28th, i will take $400 cash for the entire thing, interior/exterior harness, brand new MAF, ect, all of it. Show me cash, and i'll show you a complete TPI motor. Most people spend that on the TPI system alone w/out the cam or heads, this is everything even if you don't use the motor. Put these heads and everything on your freshly rebuilt 305 and you've got a complete setup, or take the TPI off, throw some bigger injectors, and throw it on a 350.
If i had someone to take the TPI system out of this, i would be happy to sell the heads. Bump to see if someone wants the TPI system. $300 plus shipping, paid ~$160 for the MAF alone and it's a month old.
Seems like everyone is asking $100 or so, but i'll take $75 plus shipping to you, unless you'd like the TPI system, i'll drop it to $350 package deal plus shipping to you, and you can turn you're TBI motor into a complete TPI motor with all the harnesses and sensors i'll include. Or you can follow the tech article and make your TBI harness work with my TPI system and a MAP sensor. Let me know.
Ill pass on the tpi intake for now, im going to stick with the TBI for the time being. Ill happily pay $75 for the heads if someone is able to buy the intake though. Are they the 081 heads? Thanks
yes, they are 081 heads, once i sell the TPI system, i'll happily take pictures of anything you'd like including the casting numbers if interested. Lets see if I can find someone interested in a TPI swap now. Don't get your hopes down though, i may just end up parting the motor and sitting on the TPI system until someone is willing to buy that, and sell you the heads ahead of schedule, but for right now, i'd like to not tear the motor down yet. I will be in touch! Thanks.
Thanks Jon, i hope you get someone interested in the intake. If we can work a deal then that would be great, if not then i appriciate you working with me. Either way it goes if you choose to part the motor you got a buyer right here for those heads.
Aaron.
