Before shipping id want a good 150 bucks for them. Remember itll take me 30-40 hrs to do then the way i did mine. I started porting the other ones i have the other day a little here and there so that i dont have to just port them when someone wants..ill hopefully have them done when someone wants them.

I'm just trying to get a little more out of a 3.1 without going hybred.
Already had 12°timing set, egr delete, and speed governor moved to 255 MPH. ( thanks again Brian)
Was thinking these heads with 1.6 roller rockers and a delta cam. Undecided on duration. Open to suggestions though. 260 270 range maybe?
going to get headers and already did a cat delete.
Current heads are stock with MANY broken exhaust studs. The PO was horrible to this car. So little by little I'm bringing it back to the way I want.

For a cam.. get the delta 260 grind cam assuming the following. Your automatic right?? And 1990-92 speed density car?? That cam, ported heads, and a mild ecm tune will add you the most power your gonna make for the $$ unless you go hybrid, turbo, or n20. Those engines are good base engines... but it "usually" takes boost or n20 to really wake them up. The day i added boost to my car, is the day i came to the reality that our engines really sux for performance, even with the common bolt on parts(cam, headers, tuning...exc.)

Im sure you may have seen it but heres a nice lopy idle with the 260 cam and ported heads. The reason its so lopey is because it wasent tuned yet and was sticking rich. Im realility you'd never hear a lope with a 260 cam when its tuned right. Its a nice mild streatable cam.

The last few seconds of the video is the best part for the lope.

A/C or no A/C? If the car didn't have A/C, how much for the pipe connecting the heater core to the water pump and intake outlet (the one running down the passenger's side frame rail by the starter)? Or are you keeping that?

Yeah I'm automatic.
Later on I'd probably turbo it.
With the delta 260, would 1.6 roller rockers work or should I go 1.5?
And what would be needed tuning wise? I'm already 12° with egr, and speed limiter modified.
Should I switch over injectors to the ford 2.9s?
I was also thinking about ceramic coated pacesetter headers.

cavy... I "heard" that 1.6 rockers may hit the vavle covers. So im not sure what youd want there. I have 1.5 rollers(stockers) You may want to look into that before youd get 1.6 rockers just to be sure on what mods would be needed(pushrod length, valve covers)

Tuning youd need about 200 bucks in items to be able to tune/datalog it whenever you want. All the stuffs from moates. The GP1 package and a Burn2 chip burner@ moates.net. Also a aldl cable from aldlcables.com which cost 55 bucks IIRC. The cable is to datalog via laptop. Theres more options on equiptment but this is the items I have and I like them ALOT.

Well damn...lol I'll need to wait on the tuning stuff til my settlement comes in.
I've heard 1.6 full rollers hit but roller tips don't. Also heard the stock pushrods can be used. If you get self alligning just reuse the pivot nut things. Sounds kinda weird to me though.
Could I piece it along? Like due the heads then the cam and rockers later?

Honestly Id do it all at one time. Takeing the top of the engine of over and over can sux..lol The cost of gaskets will nickle and dime you, let alone you have to tune it so much more to get what you want out of it.

Save up the cash, get the parts, and do it all at one time. Its much simpler in my mind.

I say this all the time.,, but if you could do one thing that would help the car out immensily, it would be to learn how to tune it first. Theres no way your gonna want to drive it all over with a cam and ported heads on it without a tune. Speed density does not compinsate for your mods at all. Believe me I did that on my car for about 50 miles and said helll with that!! Tuning it right will add more Hp and will make it have the MPG it should have.

But if you have the abilities to just burn the chips then give me 15 bucks for a tune. Hows that sound??

Ive got a good amount of tuning on my 3.1L and lots of good tunes depending on what you have done and what your needs are.

I think thats pretty damn cheep IMO for solid tune files. But im also a person who tries to help out the V6 community as much as I can.

58mark I have all those items except the alluminum power steering bracket as I broke mine and the extra one is going to be used there.

Today is wednesday. If you can wait till saturday I will be able to weigh all the items, see whats the smallest box I can fit them in and then give you a set price. Is that ok????? Ill even take a pic of all the brackets in on picture so I know your getting what you want. The camaro is not at my new house and its 1 hr away along will all my extra parts I have. I will be going there saturday asap as always to work on it.

Thats what happend to me. The bottom of the bracket broke on mine over the summer so now I use the good one. Sorry about that but all the other stuff is yours for the taking. Ill talk to ya on saturday.

Forgot I also am in the market for an EGR valve. Just the solenoid unit, don't need the tubes it's sitting on (going onto a 93-95 3100 plenum, plus I already have those but the solenoid unit is broke).

I'm not in any hurry. The car is in the garage right now (stupid storm!) and I can't currently get into my toolbox to get anything out until I get the car out. I won't need to install the valve until I can get the 2 broken exhaust studs drilled out of the one head and get the engine reassembled (put the engine in like an idiot before I drilled the studs out so I had to take everything back apart again ).

Yes, I still want it, but if someone wants it before next week, they can have it. I somehow screwed up with the bank over the last couple weeks and might barely make it for the headers I have a REALLY good deal going on.

BTW, the third pic in your post above is the rear alternator bracket, goes between the bracket on the back of the alt and the exhaust manifold bolts.

Do you happen to have the Lower Intake Manifold for the V6 3.1l ? The heater fitting where that big bolt is coroded out and when my friend/mechanic took it out, it busted into dust and after many scraping attempts to clear out the grooves for a new bolt, it just completely cracked the intake manifold where the big bolt hooks into the manifold to hold the heater thing.

Right now its JV weld holding it together from leaks and zip ties. I have looked all over for one for the last couple of months and can NEVER find one on ebay and everywhere else i find them its for local only which is 100+ miles away from where i live.

Would greatly appreciate a nice deal on this if you have it! I get paid tomorrow.


EDIT: Also do u know what part it is that is right by the EGR, its a little black mushroom looking thing about the size of a fist and has vacuum going through it. I cant figure out what its called.

Heres some pics of the items I have off hand

Timing cover, harmonic balancer, crank pully


Cruse control(I have the cable and such also) and the Blower motor for a a/c car.




Air diverter valve and a water pump


Stock oil pump or I can shim it for a extra few psi if you want.


Middle intake manifold and tentioner pully


Dizzy with newer cap and rotor. Also good ICM in there too.


Power steering pump and complete A.I.R pump. Actaully have 2 air systems for sale.


Upper intake manifold. TPS sensor IAC sensor Throttle body EGR tubes.


Fuel rail, regulator, injector harness, and a t-stat housing


2 complete heads. And 4 exhaust manifolds(2 sets)


I also have the stock 1 bar map sensor.

The rear end is for sale. The rear end is local pick up only. 3.23 in the rear and has 110k miles on it.

Are you switching to the newer style CS130 alternator? If not, your SI has a different connection. Either way, not stealing eddi's thread here, but I have one already cut out, or 2 (maybe more, have to look) for the CS130.
