LG4/L69 1986 ECM Wiring Harness

Looking for a complete L69/LG4 4BBL Camaro ECM/engine bay wiring harness with all the sensor pigtails and connectors. No hack jobs.

I have an 86 Camaro with a 305 and upgrading it to the high output setup, and the previous owner hacked the stock LG4 wiring harness up. I want the wiring harness so i can set the timing correctly.

Also looking for L69 HO Manifolds and EFE valve and the aluminum intake.

Re: LG4/L69 1986 ECM Wiring Harness

There are 3 harnesses in the engine bay; 1 for the headlights, 1 for the Engine, and 1 for the ECM. By reading your post I assume that you need 2 harnesses. The ENGINE and the ECM harness,.......... Is that correct.

ALL 'HO' engines used a knock sensor and the EST ignition. The later LG4 engines did ( starting in 85 I think ) Are you going to use a knock sensor ??

Is your car a stick or an automatic and do you need an ECM ??

Re: LG4/L69 1986 ECM Wiring Harness

I am pretty sure this car has EST, i am almost certain that i saw the ESC module on the drivers side the other time i was fiddling with it. The problem is i cannot find the EST bypass wire. It has an ignition module and pickup that is almost identical to my TPI system. There are a lot of wires that are crimped together on the passenger side and some are not even connected.

I am looking for the harnesses that goes from the ECM, including the ECM connectors that goes to all the ignition components, sensors and engine components. I am not going to mess with the wiring going inside the dash because it works fine. Also most of the other wiring in the car works fine, such as the headlights.

So if you are saying i need the engine and ECM harnesses thats what i am looking for.

I forgot to post that it is a 5 speed car... I have two computers to play with, the standard LG4 computer and an 87 L69 computer out of a monte carlo SS.

I will check the car for a knock sensor when i get the chance.

Re: LG4/L69 1986 ECM Wiring Harness

OK,

You probably DON't need the Engine harness. This is the one on the drivers side that's mounted with the Headlight harness. There is not much to the engine harness, the starter wires, the temp gauge wire, the oil pressure wire, the Volts wire, distrib power, tach wire, ect.

Basically if your noat having problems with starting the car or the gauges you probaly don't need the Engine harness.

Let me did around and see if I have one that's uncut........

Re: LG4/L69 1986 ECM Wiring Harness

If nothing works out, I have a complete harness from my 86 LG4. Its pretty complete, but there were one or two questionable hacks, near the carburator. Let me know if none of these other options work out.
