Re: t5 swap or t56

I have a pretty complete T5 swap, just missing the Pressure Plate bolts and the VSS you would need since it has a cable drive sending unit. Its all out of an 86 iroc

$350 plus shipping

what is ur problem , u are the one who put the two options up, a t56 can be had for a bit over 1k,...

you stated that u are going to do a lt1 swap, the t5 is not going to be able to handle the lt1s tq, also u are already going to the trouble of converting to stick so might as well make it worth, if u are going add future power upgrades to ur car might as well build up a good backbone, instead of installing ur t5 now, blowing it with ur lt1 and then having to buy a t-56 anyway, and modifing the cluth pedals

im going t5 for now due to this setup is 100% temporary until the LQ4 is done being built....see where im going? i can not use a lt1 t56 behind a a LS motor.......unless i can find a CHEAP t56 im going t5....ok?
