hi all, trying to see whats out there as im doing a temp LT1 swap and have toasted the 700r4 up. im looking for a stick swap and trying to find a bolt in setup like a WC t5
MUST be electric speedometer though(only thing ill be picky about really)

I have a pretty complete T5 swap, just missing the Pressure Plate bolts and the VSS you would need since it has a cable drive sending unit. Its all out of an 86 iroc

what is ur problem , u are the one who put the two options up, a t56 can be had for a bit over 1k,...
you stated that u are going to do a lt1 swap, the t5 is not going to be able to handle the lt1s tq, also u are already going to the trouble of converting to stick so might as well make it worth, if u are going add future power upgrades to ur car might as well build up a good backbone, instead of installing ur t5 now, blowing it with ur lt1 and then having to buy a t-56 anyway, and modifing the cluth pedals

well i want a t56 but the people on this site are nutz and want 2 to 3 TIMES what the t56's are going for on ebay!
im going t5 for now due to this setup is 100% temporary until the LQ4 is done being built....see where im going? i can not use a lt1 t56 behind a a LS motor.......unless i can find a CHEAP t56 im going t5....ok?
