Hello all! i'm new here. I'm looking to buy a V6 for a winter project. Wife says it cant be done but i want to put a camaro or Fbird V6 in the family Chevette. I know it sounds strange but i should be FUN.
I need the motor as compleate as i can as well as any wireing\computer for it. I'm not too picky on the year as any should do.
i have a 2.8 v6 and trans pulled from a third gen camaro. was running when i pulled it over the summer not perfectly but it ran. i am sure i still have the computer and the wiring harness but im not too sure about the state of the wiring harness some wires may be cut. pm me if interested
Hello, I also have a motor and tranny. It is the 3.4 with 2.8 intake, brackets ect. and 700r4. I do not have the wiring harness. I also have header flanges and old headers to make headers for your project. Let me know if you are interested.
I have a running rusty 88 Astro van with a 1994 (4.3) motor. The motor is 100%, that's why I have the van, has less than 80K miles on it. The 700R4 is great, if you want a complete donor..wiring-ecm and driveline this would be the ticket.
Drive it home! This motor is not junk, it was removed from an S10 pickup.
Sad to say a 4.3L wont work as its a 90 degree V6. in order to do the swap it has to be a 60 degree V6, such as a 2.8, 3.1, or a 3.4. I already tryed to see if i could put the 4.3 from my 1500 chevy truck in the little chevette.
Pulling out my 3.1 V6 with a 5 speed tranny in a couple days if you want it. Replacing it with a 350 sbc and a t-56. shoot me a message if your interested. Got pics in one of my other posts of the motor, should be under intake systems. RUNS really good
