My bad, '88-'89 305's and 350's used the same cam (part # 10066049) whether is was auto or manual
'90-'92 305's and 350's used a little smaller cam(part #10111773) whether it was auto or manual
hi i have an aluminum headed l98 from a corvette i want to put a cam in it but idk which one...i plan on doing heads in the future but not now
so i guess i would need a fairly mild cam i want the best one that can be used for a stock head l98

For a computer controlled engine, try one with duration at .050 lift of 202-205 intake and 206-214 exhaust. Most cams with these figures will have between .415"-.460" lift with stock rockers. Most of these cams will be emissions legal. You didn't say if your engine was efi or carb or whether it is computer controlled. Doesn't matter it will run smooth regardless. Hope this helps some.

All 305 TPI (LB9) engines (1985-1992) came with one of two basic cam grind profiles. An easy way to identify the type of cam on an LB9 car is to look at the tach: the lesser cams have a yellow line at 4500 and red line at 5000; the hotter cams have a yellow line at 5000 and red line at 5500. All camshafts 1987 and later use hydraulic roller lifters
