attn Firebird Stealth Ram Swappers!

Can someone please post a picture of the underside of your stock hood where you modified it for clearance? I'd like to get an idea of how much chopping has to be done or else I'll just buy a ram air. Mucho Thanks!
(PS my hood is formula style, but it would be helpful if we had pictures of all factory bird hoods)

I dont have a pic but if you take the hood liner off you will see the brace running across the middle just cut it a inch off the sides of the TPI.

Did you cut it with an air cutoff tool? How'd you see where it was hittin'?

The T-body is what hits I took plastic and taped it to the plenum and rubber intake then put grease over it.closed the hood as low as it would go the grease marks the under side of the hood.I dont think you dont want to cut the way I did. I used sheet metal shears and its not the cleanest cuts.If I were to do it again I would put a sheet or blanket over the engine and use a grinder with a cut off wheel or a dremel tool.I cut the whole brace out of the center.

My stealth ram fit nicely with a few well placed whacks with a "ford" tool (ie, 5lb sledge). This is with a flat base model hood. I used the same technique with the grease to see where it would contact. I now have at least 1/4" of clearance around the throttle body and plenum
