which wires are you confused about?

The fuel pump might work with no problems.
some people dont have problems, I did.
mine woudnt pump, it would prime for 2 seconds, fill the carb. with gas, the car would run for 20 second, then die. it took me a couple days to figure out what was wrong...very fustrating.
What I did was run an on/off toggle switch to the fuel pump. the pump eventually burned out, I dont know if it was cuz it had 156K on it, cuz the regulator, or cuz it was always running of direct battery voltage, so i got a Holley external now.

The carb. should say what PSI regulator you need. Most carbs run about 6psi.

The only wires I connected back up were the hot for the dist. and the tack, the alternator wires, and the starter.

well, I had a TBI setup, but the swap procedue is basically the same.

If you want it, check the nearest landfill by Detroit.

hey since i've gotta 92 and all that computer control crap.. is the swap possible.. i wanted to save up and get a 450 hp crate engine.. it's carb'd so i've been thinking if it was worth it.. it would more than triple my horsepower straight outta the box..

any input would be helpful

sure man, it would work

however, with that much power, you will need to have a performance rebuild done on your tranny, and get subframe connector.
You will also need a posi unit and gears, the motor I put in my car is only about 300hp, and it cant hook up to save my life.
I would also say you would need a hi-po radiator with that kinda power. Power=heat, the stock radiator for TBI cars is only setup to handle 180hp or somewhere around that. I have problems with my car running hot.

also, figure on spending at least 500 dollars extra on the new engine, cuz you will run into unforseen problems, especially if this will be your first swap.
