It's in! Check it out...

I haven't had time to update my web site yet...we were up until past midnight last night. I'll try to put all the pics up this weekend.

Air_Adam: I'm installing an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake manifold with either a 454 TBI or a Holley 670cfm TBI. Long story...I ordered a 454 TBI, it came in and was actually a 350 TBI, still trying to decide what to get now...

The engine and tranny are just sitting there righ tnow...I've gotta start hooking everything back up tonight. More pics to follow...

Thanks, guys. We're STILL working on getting everything back together. Boy, this is definitely a major undertaking. I would highly recommend that you have someone knowledgeable about engines and transmissions with you before you tackle this swap...thank *** I have a neighbor who's a Chevy mechanic!

We almost got to the point of crankin' her up tonight, but just ran out of time. The tranny is almost completely installed...just need to wire up a couple of sensors, the slave cylinder, and the driveshaft. As for the engine, we bolted on most of the accessories, distributor, intake, sensors, etc. tonight. I finally found a "real" 454 TBI at Martini Auto Salvage (I had them measure the bores to make sure they are 2" this time) somewhere in Minnesota, so I should have it by next week. I just got my intake modified to accept the TBI yesterday...check it out in the pic below as we were getting ready to machine the reliefs in the sides of my RPM Air Gap manifold.

I'll try to update the web site this weekend...take it easy

Well, we fired her up last night! I've got some issues to work out with my 454 TBI, though...it's running REALLY rich. I'm amazed at how this thing sounds...it's pretty wild. I thought it wouldn't have any noticeable lope with the stock cam, but it actually sounds pretty sweet. I thought I would have sortof a "sleeper" with a 350 HO in an RS, but I think my exhaust note's gonna give me away .

The pic below isn't current, but it's the most recent one I have at this point. I'll post some pics of the finished installation soon.
